Singing competition launched at GPCW
RAWALPINDI: Chief guest Dr. Mubashira Hafeez (Psychotherapist of PAF Hospital Islamabad, and a singer) giving away trophy to the winner of the singing competition. Prof. Dr. Aalia Sohail, Principal Government Post-Graduate College for Women, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, Vice-Principal Chaman Yasmeen, Associate Professor (History) Naheed Raza and others are also seen in the picture.

RAWALPINDI: Nazariya Pakistan society organized a singing competition during the Union Week 2019 Wednesday at Government Post-Graduate College for Women, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi and UOG sub campus. Five teams from various colleges participated in the competition.

Prof. Dr Aalia Sohail Khan, Principal of the College and Dr. Mubashira Hafeez (Psychotherapist of PAF Hospital Islamabad, and a singer) were the chief guests of the competition. Ms. Shama Adil, Ms. Maher Anjum and Ms. Laila Jatti were the judges of the contest.

The event started with beautiful Nagma “Naara-e-Takbeer”. According to the decision of the judges Federal Government Post-Graduate College for Women Kashmir Road won the first prize, IMCG Post-Graduate College F-7/2 got second, and F Block Govt Degree College got third prize.

Prof. Dr Aalia Sohail Khan while addressing the audience said: “Music can soothe your nerves and it can also be used as an instructional tool. Understand the psychological and philosophical significance of music.”
The event ended with distribution of prizes and certificates to all the teams.
